Spring 2024 Interns

Alexa

I’m Alexa, 17 years old, and currently a junior in high school. I’ve been looking forward to be a part of LAD because I really care about mental health; and I admire how the organization supports those going through a tough period in their life.

Risha

Hi, I’m Risha! I am excited to learn more about grant writing and content creation. I currently work at a non-profit that provides mentoring to children and teens. Another one of my goals as an intern is to learn more about supporting youth mental health.

Liz

Hi! My name is Liz and I am a senior in the Northern Virginia Area. I'm super excited to work as an intern for Letters Against Depression because I have a passion for raising awareness and supporting mental health.

I love spending time outdoors, whether it's going skiing or hiking. I also enjoy working out, hanging out with friends, taking my dogs on walks, and having spa nights to relax!

Sean

Hi everyone! I’m currently a student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. During this internship, I’m most excited to learn more about grant writing and the research and analyses that contribute to them. I’m also excited to work with the LAD leadership team to learn more about how each aspect of the organization drives impact.

Heather

My name is Heather, I’m excited to expand my skill set during my internship with LAD. I am also excited to better understand how a nonprofit organization functions. I enjoy helping people and plan to give my best in supporting those coping with depression.
I am enthusiastic about dogs, I also enjoy art, music and reading.

Lucia

Hi, my name is Lucia and I am a current junior in high school! I am so excited to be a part of the LAD intern team. My interests include art, music, dogs, and science/math! I play the guitar, bass guitar, piano and drums. I have been a letter writer at LAD for a while so I look forward to being an intern!

Susan

Susan will be managing LAD's Instagram, with a focus on connecting with teens and other groups through social media and spreading the word about the impact of letters against depression. She looks forward to being part of this community and contributing.
