Our leadership team directly impacts the direction of Letters Against Depression. They work on real projects touching all parts of the organization. They also help shape the next term of interns with their specialized skills.

All of our leaders have completed the Letters Against Depression Internship, spending 15 weeks learning behind the scenes how a nonprofit works. They all made the decision to stay to continue to hone their skills in their chosen field. They continue to learn, grow, lead, and continue to enrich the organization with their knowledge and compassion.

LAD Leadership!

Isa - Workshop Host

Hi, my name is Isa. I am very passionate about mental health because of my own experience with stigmas and overwhelming thoughts. Thus, I am very excited to be offering workshops to raise awareness on the subject and connect with other interns. I also found this organization to be a great fit for me because my love language is words of affirmation. During my free time, I create Canva designs, sing, write, and dance. A fun fact about me is I love Spanish music and the songs I like are old!

LAD Innovators

Our Innovators are dedicated team members who help support ongoing projects, pitch ideas, and support our leaders in larger coordinated projects. Each of our Innovators is working on getting more in tune with their area of interest in the nonprofit, while still leaning about the entire scene. Each of our Innovators helps look for trends, independently work on smaller projects, and are our future leaders!

Elizabeth - Background Systems Coordinator

Elizabeth is a student in high school student and lives in New Jersey. She’s been a part of LAD since 2021 and is looking to expand her outreach and learn more about running a non profit. In her free time Elizabeth likes to listen to music, go shopping with friends, and spend time with her pets. She can’t wait to make an impact through her internship at LAD and get closer with all of the amazing people that work here!

Brooke - Data Analytics and Interpretation

Hi, my name is Brooke, and I am a senior in high school. My current focus at LAD is analyzing and visualizing recipient data based on several factors, such as nationality, age, and gender, and guiding new LAD interns in doing the same. Before becoming a LAD Leader, I was a letter writing volunteer and an intern, and it was during my time in these positions that I became deeply invested in the success of LAD. I am looking forward to continuing helping LAD grow as an organization and gain a deeper understanding of our demographic trends.

Gayathri - Content Researcher

Hi my name is Gayathri and I am 17 years old. I am a senior in high school. I found about LAD during the pandemic and have been writing letters and working with social media since. Mental health is an important topic and I would like to help people who may be feeling down or lost. Some skills that I am working on with LAD are teamwork, making new friends/connections, and leadership.

LAD Leaders

Coral - Social Media Manager/Coordination

Hi there, I'm Coral, and it brings me immense joy to be a part of the LAD community as the Social Media Manager. I am dedicated to breaking down the barriers surrounding mental health, so we can truly connect with one another through our unique journeys in life.

As a pre-medical student, I'm excited to leverage my knowledge and experience to contribute to LAD's mission. I look forward to learning from this incredible community, exchanging valuable perspectives, and together, creating a more compassionate and understanding world.

Learners, Advocates, and Dedicated to helping others through LAD’s mission.

We believe that “lead” is a verb. Our leaders do just that! They lead in a specialized area! They work directly with each other and the board to pitch and implement projects relating to their area they oversee. Each leader also works autonomously on their own area of interest, providing insight to their area of the nonprofit. Their work is heavily featured on our website, social media, and sent directly to your inbox!
